The 2010 Terrain has the same platform as the Chevrolet Equinox. The base trim is the SLE, with the up-level SLT available. GM's new 2.4L 182-horsepower engine and front-wheel drive is the standard configuration, and all but the base trim can be fitted with an optional 172-horsepower 3.0L V6 engine. All trims feature 6-speed automatic transmission and variable valve timing. All-wheel drive is available on all trims. Standard equipment on all trims includes 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, a rear-vision camera, 4-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock brakes, six standard air bags, an anti-theft system, an XM Satellite Radio-ready system and iPod and MP3 compatibility. Optional equipment includes a remote vehicle starter system, heated front seats, a rear-view camera, memory for driver's seat and mirrors, rear seat entertainment, leather seats, moonroof, power programmable tailgate, 7-inch touch-screen navigation system, 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels and a range of premium audio systems with up to eight speakers and 250 watts of output. There is also a Cargo Management Package available, which includes a rear cargo security cover, cargo convenience net and luggage rack crossbars.
